TOGAF™ 9 Certification now available through IRM UK
In February 2009, The Open Group announced the general availability of TOGAF™ version 9.
TOGAF™ 9 provides an Architecture Development Method, Content Framework and Capability Framework that can be used as the basis for creating an organisation's enterprise architecture. TOGAF™ 9 provides a variety of tools, building blocks and resources that facilitate the process and enable the design and development of enterprise architecture across four domains; Business, Data, Applications and Technology. More than 60 percent of the Fortune 50 and 80 percent of the Global Forbes 50 use TOGAF to reduce time, costs and risks associated with developing an EA and improve overall business agility.
TOGAF™ 9 Level 1 Foundation and TOGAF™ 9 Level 2 Certified prepare delegates for the Open Group's Level 1 and Level 2 Certification Examination. Level 1 provides an overview of TOGAF™ 9 and will introduce delegates to all the components of TOGAF™ 9. The terminology, structure, and basic concepts of TOGAF™ 9 will be covered as well as the core principles of Enterprise Architecture and TOGAF™. In Level 2, delegates will learn the practical application of TOGAF™ 9 framework, building on the foundational knowledge and comprehension of Level 1, using practical scenarios to enforce concepts.

It is not necessary for a TOGAF™ 8 CERTIFIED to take Level 1. Level 2 examination will automatically include a bridging exams. However, we do recommend that delegates do both Levels 1 and 2 as Level 1 provides an overview of TOGAF™ 9 and will introduce the delegate to all the components of TOGAF 9.
Zachman
Certification
The much awaited Zachman Certification is now available in the UK.
For the first time in the UK, you can now become Zachman Certified™ - Level 1.
Practical in its design, the Zachman Certified™ courses gives today's Enterprise Architects the opportunity to strengthen their skills as well as broaden their understanding of industry trends and the use of The Zachman Framework™.
Certification requires taking the necessary Zachman courses:
- Zachman Enterprise Architecture MasterClass™ Part 1: Framework Fundamentals
- Zachman Enterprise Architecture MasterClass™ Part 2: Implementation Strategy Examples
- Zachman Enterprise Modelling Workshop
Upon completion of all three courses, delegates are then required to take the Zachman Enterprise Architecture Examination, which then leads to Zachman Certification. Delegates who have attended both Zachman Enterprise Architecture Masterclass™ Part 1: Framework Fundamentals and Zachman Enterprise Architecture Masterclass™ Part 2: Implementation Strategies, since January 2000, are only required to take the Enterprise Modelling Workshop and passing the examination in order to be Zachman Certified™.
